Export Valuation Criteria Repealed
The new Resolution eliminates the “Canal Rojo Valor” and requires that all export operations be processed through regular selectivity channels.
The Argentine Tax Authority published Resolution 5587/2024 in the Official Gazette on October 22, 2024, repealing General Resolution 4710, which had previously set out precautionary export reference values.
Until now, exports with values declared below the reference value (which depended on the kind of good and its destination abroad) were processed through intensified controls known as “Canal Rojo Valor.”
The new regulation eliminates the “Canal Rojo Valor” and requires that all export operations be processed through regular selectivity channels, in accordance with Resolution 1921 and its amendments.
However, exports in general may be selected for ex-post valuation analysis, in accordance with the procedures set out in Resolution 5002.
