Import and Export Duties Now Reduced
The Argentine Executive reduced the import duties of machinery and tools, and the export duties of certain agricultural products.
Decree 513/25
On July 28, 2025, the Argentine Executive reduced import duties to 12.6% for several groups of capital goods (BK), which had previously been subject to rates ranging from 20% to 35%. These goods include machinery and tools used to produce goods and services.
The list of goods includes, among others:
- machinery for the metalworking industry (laser cutting machines, bending machines, presses),
- gas scrubbers and pipe-cleaning equipment used in the oil industry,
- elevators,
- industrial fans,
- machinery for ice cream production,
- bakery ovens,
- hair clippers and sheep shearing machines,
- centrifugal pumps,
- electric accumulators.
Decree 526/25
On July 30, 2025, through Decree 526/25, the Argentine Executive reduced the export duties regarding the production chains of:
- wheat,
- soybeans,
- sunflower,
- barley,
- corn,
- sorghum,
- meat.
The reduction of rates ranges from 2.75% to 9.50%.
