By means of Decree 566/2026, published in the Official Gazette on July 1, 2026, , the Argentine Executive reduced to 0% the rate of export duties applicable to products linked to the mining sector, among others. This reduction will apply to exports of steel, aluminum, zinc, tin, and other industrial metals, listed in Annex I of the regulation. The standard also includes an immediate reduction for various products in the automotive industry.

Another list of products from these same sectors (Annex II) and some hydrocarbons (Annex III) will have a gradual reduction in their export duty rates that will reach a 0% rate by June 2027.

This Decree is part of a policy aimed at promoting export activity, improving international competitiveness, promoting the generation of foreign exchange, and reducing fiscal and financial costs associated with exports without affecting fiscal balance.
