María Mercedes Mahomed

María Mercedes Mahomed joined Marval O'Farrell Mairal in 2017 and is a Senior Associate in the Public and Administrative Law Department.

Her practice focuses on providing comprehensive legal advice to domestic and international companies on administrative and regulatory matters, with a particular emphasis on infrastructure projects, public works and utility concessions, government contracts, and economic regulation.

She also advises clients on disputes related to infrastructure projects and regulated sectors. She has extensive experience in administrative proceedings, complex litigation before federal and local courts, and domestic and international arbitration related to commercial and investment disputes, including proceedings before ICSID and the ICC.

Before joining Marval, she worked for four years in the Administrative Law and Economic Regulation Department of Nicholson & Cano Abogados.

She graduated with a law degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina in 2013 and later obtained a postgraduate specialization in Economic Administrative Law from the same university. She also completed postgraduate studies in administrative law, finance, infrastructure projects, and Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs).

In the academic field, she served as a lecturer and is the author of publications in her areas of expertise.

She is a member of the Buenos Aires Bar Association.
