Antidumping Proceedings – Air Conditioning from Thailand

The Ministry of Productive Development, by Resolution No. 1/2021, opened the review due to the expiration of the term of the antidumping measure provided by Resolution No. 1,900 dated December 3, 2015 from the former Ministry of Economy and Public Finance, on exports to Argentina of air conditionings with a capacity less than or equal to 6500 frig/hr, cold only or hot and cold versions by using a reversing device of the thermal cycle, for windows or walls, in one body, with a device or installation that modifies the air temperature, from Thailand and classified under Mercosur Customs Tariff Code (NMC) 8415.10.19, while keeping the current antidumping measures until the completion of the review.

The Chamber of Electric Devices Manufacturers (Asociación de Fabricantes de Artefactos Eléctricos (AFARTE)) and the companies BGH S.A. and NEWSAN S.A. requested the opening of the review process of the antidumping measure.

The authorities determined a presumptive dumping margin of 232.07% for exports to third countries.
