New economic measures: increase of export duty rates on soybean oil and flour, and the creation of the argentine wheat stabilizing fund.
Pursuant to Decree No. 131/2022 (DCTO-2022-131-APN-PTE), the Executive Power ordered, as a temporary and transitory measure, the suspension of Decree No. 790/2020, until and including December 31, 2022, for the products of the tariff positions of the COMMON NOMENCLATURE OF MERCOSUR (N.C.M.) included therein. Therefore, the rates set forth in Decree No. 230/2020 shall become effective again for those goods.
Consequently, the reduction of the export tariffs for soybean oil and flour to 31% is suspended until December 31 and increased to the 33% rate set forth in Decree No. 230/2020.
In addition the Executive Power issued Decree No. 132/2022 (DECNU-2022-132-APN.PTE), ordering the creation of the Public Trust Fund called "Argentine Wheat Stabilization Fund," in order to guarantee a separate trust fund that will contribute to mitigate the increase in the price per ton of wheat required by the Argentine milling chain, as a consequence of the war conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
Such Fund will be composed of the resources resulting from the temporary modification of export duties by virtue of the application of Decree No. 131/22.
