Passengers Can Now Pay Public Transport with QR Codes
This payment option will be available to users as of May 12, 2025.

The Argentine Central Bank (BCRA) issued Communication “A” 8206 on February 27, 2025, establishing that public transport users may now pay fares using QR codes. For this, passengers will have to use QR codes in “consumer presented” mode.
On the other hand, wallets must display a highlighted Travel with QR (VQR) button in their interface, to generate the QR code necessary for paying the ticket. This option must be clearly distinguished from the one for transfer payments.
The BCRA must authorize wallets that wish to offer their customers the option to pay with VQR. VQRs will be available to users as of May 12, 2025.
