Pedro Colaneri

Pedro joined due to his keen knowledge of the cryptocurrency space. Upon joining, he worked in the structuration of a wide variety of crypto projects, comprising mainly the tokenization of real estate and private equity.

Besides, he deals with crypto exchanges in the various queries we receive.

He is familiar with regulations that affect crypto players, such as financial law, capital markets law and money laundering law, among other branches of law that he applies in his daily work.

Within Marval O'Farrel Mairal, he also provides Pro-Bono advice, mainly in matters related to money laundering issues that NGOs may bring for consultation.

Prior to joining the firm, he worked for 6 years in a justice court, where he dealt with administrative and tax law disputes; these matters constitute his main experience to date.

As for his academic background, Pedro graduated from the University of Buenos Aires School of Law in 2019 and is currently concluding a LLM program imparted at Austral University School of Law, for which he was awarded a scholarship for his work on the taxation of environmental financial instruments.

He has written on the subject of taxation and cryptocurrencies in an article titled “Cryptoassets: Checkmate to Fiscal Power”, included in the first number of the Revista Derecho y Tecnología, published by IJ Editores.
