Procedural Simplification for Compensating Defective Goods

The Argentine Customs has established a new framework affecting defective goods. Under this new framework, those who carry out imports or exports to replace defective goods may now skip physical inspection by submitting an affidavit signed by a licensed professional. This statement must detail the defects found in the goods to be replaced.

The new rules also allow substituting specific parts or components of imported or exported goods. In such cases, the operator must submit a sworn statement identifying the relevant good and its customs import/export declaration.

Finally, Customs removed redundant provisions to simplify compliance for operators.
