Intercargo: Tender Called to Privatize It
The Government has authorized a national and international public tender to sell 100% of the State-owned share capital of Intercargo SAU.
Resolution 282/2026 of the Ministry of Economy, published in the Official Gazette on March 26, 2026, authorized the call for a national and international multi-stage public tender with a base price to sell 100% of the share capital of Intercargo SAU, the state-owned company that provides ramp and ground handling services to aircraft at airports.
This measure was adopted within the framework of Law 27742, which declared Intercargo “subject to privatization,” and Decree 198/2025, which authorized its full privatization through the sale of all State-owned shares.
The Resolution also approves the bidding documents governing the process and provides that the procedure will be conducted through the CONTRAT.AR platform. It also creates an ad hoc Bid Evaluation Committee and authorizes the Secretariat of Transport to issue any necessary clarifications.
The base price for the tender is USD 45,120,000, as determined by the valuation carried out by the Banco de Inversion y Comercio Exterior (BICE), as detailed in the approved bidding documents.
Inquiries regarding the bidding documents may be submitted until April 27, 2026, at 4:00 PM. The deadline for submitting bids was set for May 7, 2026, at 9:30 AM, and the opening of bids will take place on May 7, 2026, at 10:00 AM, through CONTRAT.AR.
Finally, the Secretariat of Transport and the Agency for the Transformation of Public Enterprises may request technical and operational assistance from Intercargo during the procedure.
With this measure, the Government takes a further step in the privatization of Intercargo and in the implementation of the public enterprise reform agenda set forth in Law 27742.
