Informational Posters: Changes to Insurance Agents’ Duties
The Superintendence of Insurance introduced amendments to the rules governing the display of mandatory informational posters.
The Superintendence of Insurance (SSN) issued Resolution 616/2025 on November 10, 2025. This Resolution implements changes regarding the mandatory informational poster that insurance agents must display at their main establishment and at any decentralized locations (agencies, branches, subsidiaries, etc.).
• New Format
Under the previous regulation, the informational poster had to follow a specific format, which included a minimum size and detailed typographic uniformity requirements. The new Resolution replaces this scheme only requiring that the poster is large enough to be adequately seen and read by the public.
• Inclusion of a QR Code
The amendment also introduces the possibility of including a QR code as an alternative to the printed list of authorized insurance plans. The QR code must allow direct access to such information through electronic devices.
• Duty to Inform Remains in Force
The Resolution maintains the obligation to inform the public that the agent is authorized to enter into insurance contracts, agree on amendments or extensions, receive notifications, and whether they are authorized to collect premiums. It also maintains the requirement to include the full names of the Insurance Manager/Responsible Officer and the Insurance Customer Service Representative (their ID is no longer required).
• Change in SSN Contact Channels
Finally, the amendment modifies the contact information that must be displayed on the poster. Instead of requiring the phone number and email address of the Department of Guidance and Assistance to the Insured (DOAA), it now mandates including the official SSN website (www.argentina.gob.ar/ssn) as the institutional communication channel. The DOAA had been repealed through Resolution 360/2024, and some of its functions were assumed by the SSN’s Coordination of Communication and Policyholder Services (CoAA).
• Effective Date
Resolution SSN 616/2025 requires agents to update their informational posters in accordance with the new parameters as of January 11, 2026.
