Camila Leone

Camila Leone is a Senior Associate at Marval O’Farrell Mairal in the Life Sciences & Healthcare and Agribusiness practice areas.

Since rejoining the firm in 2023, she has been advising domestic and international companies in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical devices, food, cosmetics and healthcare industries on regulatory, transactional and compliance matters. She provides legal advice on regulatory strategies and compliance issues ranging from clients’ day-to-day operations to complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate reorganizations, joint ventures, regulatory due diligence processes, contract negotiations, audits, internal investigations and administrative proceedings before regulatory authorities.

Her areas of expertise include biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, cosmetics, household and sanitation products, food products, food contact materials, animal health and nutrition, health-tech and agribusiness.

Prior to rejoining the firm, Camila earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in National and Global Health Law, with distinction, from Georgetown University Law Center, where she was awarded the Global Health Law Scholar scholarship. She was also previously a member of Marval O’Farrell Mairal’s Life Sciences & Healthcare Department from 2019 to 2021.

Camila earned her law degree from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella in 2018. That same year, she received the Academic Excellence Award granted by the Colegio de Abogados de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires and was recognized by the Pro Bono Commission of the Colegio de Abogados de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires for her academic achievements.

She is a frequent speaker at international conferences and academic programs on health law, pharmaceutical and food regulation, healthcare compliance and market access, Camila regularly participates as a speaker representing Argentina in the International Food Law & Policies program at the University of Parma (Italy), the Latin America Healthcare Compliance Certificate Program at Seton Hall University, and in the Diplomado en Derecho, Salud e Innovación Farmacéutica at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), among other specialized programs throughout Latin America.

Legal 500 Latin America recognized her as a Rising Star in the Life Sciences & Healthcare area in its 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026 editions. 

She is a member of the Buenos Aires Public Bar Association.
