Marval O’Farrell Mairal acted as legal counsel to the initial purchasers and local placement agents in Telecom Argentina’s issuance of USD 500 million 9.500% senior amortizing notes due in 2031.
The transaction—which closed on July 18, 2024—included a concurrent cash tender offer for up to USD 100 million of 8.500% notes due in 2025 and an exchange offer for up to USD 200 million of 8.000% notes due 2026, both set to expire in August 2024.
This offering marks Telecom Argentina’s return to the international capital markets: its last was in 2020. The proceeds will be allocated to fund the cash tender offer, prepay certain loans, cover transaction costs, and for general corporate purposes.
