Antidumping Proceedings: Metal protection (fans)

The Ministry of Productive Development (by Resolution No. 596/2021) opened an antidumping investigation on exports to Argentina from China and Chinese Taipei of “metal protection grilles, with a diameter greater than 400mm, of the types used in fans with a built-in electric motor.” These goods are classified under Mercosur Customs Tariff Code (N.C.M) 8414.90.20.

The chamber of Manufacturers of Fans, Stoves, Irons and Related Products (CAFAVEP, after its Spanish acronym) and the companies INDUSTRIAS SOL de Lautaro Eduardo Cristiá y AXEL S.A. requested the opening of the antidumping investigation.

So far, the authorities have determined a dumping margin of 85.93% from China and 415.66% from Chinese Taipei.
