Antidumping Proceedings – Electric motors from China

Through Resolution 1694/2023, the Ministry of Economy opened a sunset review due to the expiration of the term of the antidumping measures on exports from China to Argentina.

The goods involved are “single-phase, asynchronous, alternating current, electric motors of rated power of 0.12 kW or more but not exceeding 3 kW, and of a weight of 4 kg or more but not exceeding 45 kg, excluding single-phase motors with integrated clutch-type motor brake and clutch mechanisms and motors for washing machines,” classified under Mercosur Customs Tariff Codes (NCM) 8501.40.19.

It was the company MOTORES CZERWENY S.A. that requested the opening of the sunset review.

So far, authorities have estimated a dumping margin of 792.02%, considering exports to Brazil as a third market country.

The resolution keeps current antidumping measures in force until the sunset review ends.
