Antidumping Proceedings. Aluminum foil from China

Through Resolution 162/2025, the Ministry of Economy opened a sunset review due to the expiration of the term and change in circumstances of the antidumping measures set for exports from China to Argentina of “aluminum foil, not backed, rolled but not further worked, of a thickness of 0.006 mm or more but not exceeding 0.2 mm, and of a width not exceeding 1,300 mm, excluding plain foil, with an aluminum content of 99.2% or more by weight, of a thickness not exceeding 6 micrometers, in coils of a width not exceeding 500 mm, according to the ASTM B 373-95 standard.”

The goods involved are classified under Mercosur Customs Tariff Code (NCM) 7607.11.90.

It was the company ALUAR ALUMINIO ARGENTINO SAIC that requested the opening of the sunset review.

So far, authorities have estimated a dumping margin of 17.17% considering third-market exports to Chile.

The Resolution establishes that the review will be carried out without applying or enforcing current antidumping measures.
