Alimentar Allowance Has New Amounts
The Ministry of Human Capital approved an increase in the amounts of the Alimentar allowances within the federal plan Argentina Against Hunger.
The Ministry of Human Capital published Resolution 181 in the Official Gazette on May 17, 2024. The Resolution establishes an increase in amounts of the Alimentar allowance. According to the recitals, the goal is to restore the purchasing power of the most vulnerable sectors of Argentina. This measure comes within the framework of the inflationary process that Argentina is undergoing and due to the increase of the Basic Food Basket during the last months.
The amounts to be paid in June 2024 are:
1- ARS 52,250 for families with one child of 0 to 14 years old who receive universal child allowance, universal allowance for a disabled child, pregnancy allowance, or pension for mother of seven or more children.
2- ARS 81,936 for families with two children ages 0 to 14 years old who receive universal child allowance, universal allowance for disabled children, or pension for mother of seven or more children.
3- ARS 108,062 for families with three or more children ages 0 to 14 years old who receive universal child allowance, universal allowance for disabled children, or pension for mother of seven or more children.
The allowance consists of a monetary and non-remunerative sum for purchasing food. It is provided for beneficiaries to have access to food through a monthly accreditation of funds, as a complement to the family income.
