City of Buenos Aires City Creates Autism Awareness Week
A new law establishes the Blue Week for Autism Awareness as part of the official calendar of the City of Buenos Aires.
In recent years, the City of Buenos Aires has adopted various measures to raise awareness on autism and promote a comprehensive approach to autism spectrum disorder (ASD). These include adopting guidelines for police interventions involving individuals with ASD and the City’s adherence to Federal Law 27043, which recognizes the comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach to ASD as a matter of national interest.
In this context, the City Legislature enacted Law 6953, which establishes the Blue Week for Autism Awareness to be observed every year between March 29 and April 5. This week will be included in the City’s official calendar of events and commemorations.
