Recent news in International Trade in Argentina
By Resolution 136/2011, the Secretariat of Industry and Commerce closed an antidumping investigation on voltage ignition and/or regulation devices, including: CDI/TCI magnet (ignition for capacitive or inductive discharge) and voltage regulators (or rectifiers): between 6V and 18V, and between 6A and 30A, and supply and ignition coils, in all cases for motorcycles, motorbikes, scooters, mopeds and four-wheeler up to 400 cm3, excluding high-voltage coil guided ignition system with no core from the People’s Republic of China, classified under MERCOSUR customs tariff codes (NMC) 8511.30.20, 8511.80.30, 8511.80.90, and 9032.89.11, without the imposition of antidumping duties.
Although, the authorities found a dumping margin of 2,411.99%, evidence of injury to the domestic industry and the causal relationship between both, the authorities decided not to impose antidumping duties based on international trade policy and public interest concerns.
