Mining production in the Province of San Juan grew 2252% between 2003 and 2012, as exports increased 9219%, reaching USD 2,036 million, which represents 80% of the aggregate exports of Provincial products. In the past 10 years mining investment in the Province of San Juan, as regards goods and services, capital and wages for the four mining projects in activity and under construction has reached approximately USD 37,000 million. Moreover, the balance for 2012 has shown a strong investment in mining exploration and production committed to the private sector.
