Argentine Directorate of Cybersecurity Publishes Management Report 2020 - 2022

The National Cybersecurity Director published a management report with the main government actions and the most important projects carried out between February 2020 and August 2022.

Some of the most important government actions in the report were:

• The creation of the National Information Security Incident Response Center (CERT.ar) and its incorporation to the CSIRTs Americas in the Organization of American States (OAS).
• CERT.ar’s publication of statistical reports and technical recommendation guides, such as recommendations for teleworking, information backup policies, and hospitals and health entities.
• The establishment of the Minimum Information Security Requirements for the National Public Sector Agencies and the creation of a model security policy.
• The creation of the Advisory Committee for the Development and Implementation of Secure Applications and of the Introductory Security Guide for the Development of Web Applications was published.
• The issuance of guides and recommendations for citizens on phishing, ransomware, botnets, Internet shopping, and computer crimes.

Among the projects presented, the following stand out:

• Creation of the National Program for Strengthening the Critical Information Infrastructures of the Argentine Republic.
• First survey on cybersecurity in the private sector.
• Development of a mechanism for reporting vulnerabilities in computer systems to the CERT.ar.
