Corrientes Adheres to the Mica Ortega Law
The Province of Corrientes has adopted the federal law for preventing and raising awareness of grooming or cyberbullying against children and adolescents.
Through Law 6716, published in the Official Gazette on August 12, 2025, the Legislature of the Province of Corrientes adopted Federal Law 27590, also called Mica Ortega Law. This Law establishes the Federal Program for Preventing and Raising Awareness of Grooming or Cyberbullying against Children and Adolescents.
Law 6716 also establishes that the provincial executive will determine who will be the enforcement authority. This authority will be vested with the power to sign agreements with other institutions, carry out awareness campaigns, and manage the resources allocated in the provincial budget.
Federal National Law 27590 aims to prevent, raise awareness, and educate the population on the problem of grooming or cyberbullying by using information and communication technologies responsibly and by training the educational community.
