Argentina: PCT approved by the House of Representatives

On August 26, 2026, the Argentine House of Representatives approved Argentina’s accession to the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT), subject to a reservation with respect to Chapter II (“International Preliminary Examination”).

Argentina’s accession to the PCT has not yet been completed. The bill must still be approved by the Senate before the domestic legislative process can be finalized.
