Fight Against Cybercrime Now Strengthened
The Ministry of Security expands the scope of preventive policies that the Federal Police and Security Forces may carry out in the cyberspace.
On December 12, 2024, the Ministry of Security issued Resolution 1330/2024, adding the “crimes of unauthorized financial intermediation through the use of cryptoassets” to the list of crimes contemplated in the preventive work the Federal Police and Security Forces carried out in the cyberspace. The Resolution thus expands the list of matters regarding which the Federal Police and Security Forces will carry out preventive work in the cyberspace.
The matters had originally been established in Resolution 428/2024 article 2 of the Ministry of Security. This Resolution also establishes the guidelines, principles, and directives that guide the preventive work of the Federal Police and Security Forces against crimes committed in cyber environments.
