Imports of Clothing and Footwear Now More Flexible
The Resolution eliminates the requisite of filing additional information on the composition of apparel and footwear to be commercialized in Argentina.

On February 28, 2024, the Ministry of Economy published Resolution 49/2024 in the Official Gazette, modifying the requirements for commercializing clothing and footwear, starting February 29, 2024.
The ‘Product Composition Sworn Statement (DJCP) was an additional requirement to import clothing and footwear. It involved filing detailed information about the items to be imported.
The new Resolution repeals Resolution 404/2016 of the former Secretariat of Trade and adjusts the labelling regulations on clothing (Resolution 26/1996 of the Ministry of Economy) and footwear (Resolution 850/1996 of the Ministry of Economy) so they no longer require compliance with the DJCP regime.
