This Resolution establishes measures to support the simplification and facilitation of the establishment and operation of Simplified Joint Stock Companies (SAS).
General Resolution IGJ 12/24, published in the Official Gazette on April 11, 2024
This Resolution establishes provisions regarding the simplified constitution of Simplified Joint Stock Companies (SAS). It also approves model statutes and announcements.
General Resolution IGJ 13/24, published in the Official Gazette on April 11, 2024
This Resolution eliminates the requirements regarding gender equality in the governing bodies of civil associations, foundations, societies subject to permanent state oversight, and state-owned companies.
Decree 307/2024, published in the Official Gazette on April 16, 2024
This Decree appoints Luis Enrique Lucero as the Argentine Secretary of Mining.
Resolution 6/2024 of the Ministry of Economy, Secretariat of Mining, published in the Official Gazette on April 23, 2024
This Resolution amends article 17 of Resolution 89, issued by the former Secretariat of Mining Policy of the former Ministry of Production and Labor on October 24, 2019. The amendment establishes that import authorizations, disaffiliation, or transfer of subjects registered in the Mining Investment Law Registry may be signed either by the Head of the Undersecretariat of Mining Development, the Head of the National Directorate of Mining Investments, the Head of the Directorate of Mining Investments, the Head of the Directorate of Analysis and Development of Mining Investment Projects, or by the bodies replacing them. Likewise, the Resolution repeals article 4 of Resolution 15, issued by the Ministry of Mining of the then Ministry of Productive Development on April 27, 2020, which ratified the powers to sign import authorizations included in article 17 of Resolution 89/2019.
Resolution AM 59/24 of the Ministry of Mining of the Province of Rio Negro, published in the Official Gazette on April 11, 2024
This Resolution approves the technical affidavit form that must be submitted when applying for Discovery Manifestation, Excess, Vacant Mine, Mining Group, and in together with the Minimum Exploration Program. This affidavit must be updated every two years, along with other required documents. Non-compliance or falsification of this declaration results in sanctions, according to the mining law.

“Hualilán: Elsztain Group participates with strategic financing,” published in Conciencia Minera on April 4, 2024
The Eduardo Elsztain group joins the Hualilán project through an investment of ASD 5.6 million, thus obtaining 5% of the capital of Challenger Gold, the company responsible for the development of the Hualilán gold project in San Juan.
“Barrick to invest 271 million dollars in Veladero,” published in Diario de Cuyo on April 11, 2024
Governor Marcelo Orrego announced a USD 7,404 million investment in water projects in Jáchal and Iglesia, funded with San Juan's mining funds. Mark Bristow, Barrick's president, revealed that the company will invest USD 271 million to expand the mine until 2027, and that contracts with San Juan suppliers increased by a third in early 2024, to continue growing.

Production will begin in July at Centenario Ratones, Province of Salta, one of the largest lithium deposits in the world. An annual production of 24,000 tons of lithium carbonate is expected, with projected exports of USD 74 million in the first year, increasing to USD 300 million by 2026.
