Argentina Strengthens Nation Brand as Official State Emblem

Decree 899/2025, published in the Official Gazette on December 19, 2025, formally approves the Argentina nation brand as an official emblem of the State. This Decree amends Decree 460/2021, which had previously designated the Argentina nation brand as the country’s official brand. It also adopts a new official logo, available here. The logo is expressly approved as a state emblem under article 6ter of the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property.

The aim of the Decree is to consolidate a strong, coherent, and internationally recognizable national image. To that end, it seeks to protect and strengthen the Argentina nation brand in line with the standards set out in the Paris Convention. This enhanced protection is intended to support Argentina’s competitive positioning in foreign markets, while highlighting its traditions, culture, and products.

The Argentina nation brand is conceived as a long-term state policy with an interdisciplinary and multisectoral scope. It operates as a promotional tool to strengthen the country’s image both domestically and abroad, by fostering exports, national talent, tourism, investment attraction and the international dissemination of Argentine culture.

Responsibility for the technical, administrative, and operational management of the Argentina nation brand lies with the General Secretariat of the Office of the President.

The Decree also confirms that the Argentina nation brand is registered as a trademark before the Argentine Trademark Office (INPI).
