Sofia Malena Bertossi

Sofia Bertossi joined Marval O’Farrell Mairal in 2025 and is currently a semi senior associate in the Intellectual Property area, where she advises local and international clients on a wide range of intellectual property matters, with a special focus on trademarks and trade dress. Her work includes trademark searches, due diligence processes, agreements, trademark registration, trademark portfolio management and opposition proceedings.

Sofía graduates Law School from Universidad Austral (2022) and holds postgraduate diplomas in Intellectual Property, Law 4.0, and Criminal Compliance.

In 2024, she was awarded a scholarship to attend the Intellectual Property Summer Institute at UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law (United States). In 2026, she received a full scholarship to pursue a Master of Laws (LLM) in Intellectual Property at the same institution.

Before joining the Firm, she worked for three years in other law firms, focusing on trademarks, domain names, data privacy, and advertising law.

Sofia is a member of the City of Buenos Aires Bar Association (CPACF) and the Inter American Association of Intellectual Property (ASIPI), where she served as the local representative for the Industrial Designs Competition (2025). She is also a member of the Events Subcommittee of Marval’s Pro Bono Commission.

She has authored numerous articles in the field of Intellectual Property law.
