María Alejandra Stefanich
Tax
María Alejandra Stefanich joined Marval O’Farrell Mairal in 2008. She specializes in Tax Law.
She has experience in local and international counseling, and she has participated in complex tax litigation at the national, provincial and municipal levels. She has also intervened in litigation related to customs matters.
She graduated as lawyer from the Universidad del Salvador in 2004. Later, she completed a Masters in Tax Law at the Universidad Católica Argentina and a specialization in Customs Law at the University of Buenos Aires.
She currently teaches an the introductory course on Tax Law (Ciclo Introductorio a la Especialidad Tributaria) at the Asociación Argentina de Estudios Fiscales. She was also a teaching assistant in “Substantive Tax Law”, “Tax-free reorganizations”, “Tax Dispute Procedure” and “Introduction to Tax Law” at the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina.
She actively collaborates with the Firm's Asian Desk and with the Argentine Chamber of Commerce for the Asian Pacific.
She is a an Active member of the Asociación Argentina de Estudios Fiscales, the Capital City Bar Association and the City of Buenos Aires Bar Association.
She was appointed Editorial Secretary of the Asociación Argentina de Estudios Fiscales’ Tax Journal where she activelly collaborates.
María Alejandra has written many articles in her practice area and participated in panels and conferences related to tax matters.
