On November 30, 2017, Diego Fernández, current co-chair of the KnowledgeNet Argentine Chapter of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), participated as organizer of an IAPP meeting on Machine Learning and Algorithm Governance.

Diego Fernández participated as speaker at the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) Argentina meeting, which took place in Buenos Aires November 16 - 17, 2017. Diego spoke about Algorithms Governance and Blockchain. 

Diego Fernández participated as speaker at the 31st International Seminar of the Associação Brasileira de Direito da Tecnologia da Informação e das Comunicações (ABDTIC), which took place in Sao Paulo, November 7 - 8, 2017. Diego spoke on Data Protection and Privacy in Argentina, particularly in connection with the draft bill that would replace the current regulation.
