Corporations and foreign investment

Marval, O’Farrell & Mairal, together with Demarest & Almeida, sponsored the II Jornada Jurídico-Empresarial Brasil-Argentina “Investments: New rulings in Argentina and normatives in Brazil” organized by the Brazilian Embassy in Buenos Aires, Commercial Sector, on June 14, 2005. Mr Mauro Vieira, the Brazilian ambassador attended the event and the speakers were Dr Ricardo Nissen, the Public Registrar of Commerce who spoke of “New rulings in the Public Registry of Commerce”; Dr Mario Roberto Villanova Nogueir, a partner from Demarest & Almeida, who spoke on “Normatives of foreign investment in Brazil”; and Dr Pablo Artagaveytia, a partner at Marval, O’Farrell & Mairal, who spoke on “The effects of the new rulings of the Public Registry of Commerce in companies day to day functioning”.
