Marval and Beccar Varela advise in restructure of Topps’ confectionery business in South America
Marval, O'Farrell & Mairal advised The Topps Company in the restructure of its confectionery business in South America. The transaction included multiple operating agreements with the new business of Juan Pablo Georgalos, Topps’ long standing South America general manager, who will operate the business independently going forward.
The transaction was signed on August 1, 2019, and included the negotiation of the terms for certain future licensing and distribution agreements, and for how certain transitional services will be rendered.
The transfer was carried out simultaneously in Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay.
