Marval O’Farrell Mairal announces the appointment of four new partners

Marval O’Farrell Mairal announces the appointment of Martín Iván Lanús, Agustina Dellacasa, Rocío María Goyanes and Mercedes Paola Forchiassin as new partners of the firm, effective October 1, 2026.

These appointments strengthen the firm’s Banking & Finance, Mining, Litigation & Arbitration and Labor & Employment practices, respectively, and reflect Marval’s commitment to developing talent and consolidating specialized teams to address the increasingly complex needs of its clients.

Martín Iván Lanús has been with Marval since 2010 and is a member of the Banking & Finance practice. His work focuses on the structuring of trusts, debt securities issuances, banking transactions and capital markets regulatory matters. He also advises on complex financings, project finance and debt restructurings, among other domestic and cross-border financial transactions. He holds a law degree from the University of Buenos Aires and a Master’s degree in Business Law from Universidad de San Andrés. In 2021 and 2022, he worked as a foreign associate at Paul Hastings LLP in New York.

Agustina Dellacasa joined Marval in 2018 and focuses her practice primarily on advising companies in the mining sector. She has experience in corporate law and natural resources. She holds a law degree from the University of Buenos Aires and an LL.M. in Energy and Climate Law from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands.

Rocío María Goyanes has been with Marval since 2018 and is a member of the Litigation & Arbitration department. Her practice focuses on complex dispute resolution, including court litigation and international arbitration, particularly in commercial and investment disputes related to the energy, infrastructure and oil & gas sectors. She graduated with honors from the University of Buenos Aires and holds an LL.M. from Columbia Law School. She also worked as a Foreign Associate in the International Disputes team at Baker Botts LLP in Washington, D.C.

Mercedes Paola Forchiassin joined Marval in 2016 and focuses her practice on Labor & Employment law. She advises local and multinational companies on a broad range of matters, including reorganizations, labor due diligence in M&A transactions, employee transfers, compensation, internal investigations and sensitive terminations. She holds a law degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina, where she also completed a postgraduate specialization in Labor and Social Security Law. Her work has been recognized by Legal 500.
 

With these additions to the partnership, Marval continues to strengthen its capabilities in strategic practice areas while supporting the professional development of its lawyers.
