Marval O´Farrell Mairal advised AngloGold Ashanti in the execution of an exploration and option agreement for gold projects in the Province of Salta, Argentina

AngloGold Ashanti entered into an exploration and option agreement with Latin Metals Inc. for the Organullo, Ana María and Trigal gold projects in the Province of Salta, Argentina, AngloGold Ashanti will earn a 75 to 80% participation in said projects subject to completion of investments in exploration and cash payments, among other requirements.

This transaction reflects the renewed interest of one of the world largest producers of gold in exploration projects in Argentina, and the Province of Salta in particular.

MOM´s team was led by partner Luis E. Lucero, along with associate Andrés Villarreal.

On the other hand, Nerilee Rockman (Senior VP: Deputy General Counsel, Australia) and Korey Christensen (Senior Attorney, Denver, Colorado) were the professionals appointed by AngloGold Ashanti, while Latin Metals Inc. was represented by Jonathan Lotz.
