Marval advises Warner Bros. Discovery Latin America on extension of broadcasting rights with Argentine Football Association (AFA)

Marval advised Warner Bros. Discovery Latin America (WBD) on the signing of a strategic agreement with the Argentine Football Association (AFA) to extend the license for broadcasting, distribution, commercialization, and exploitation rights over the matches of the Liga Profesional de Futbol in Argentina for four additional seasons, through the year 2031.

Marval’s team was led by partners Gustavo P. Giay and Barbara V. Ramperti, together with Lucia M. Virgile, Francisco Abeal, Veronica M. Canese, Ignacio M. Alonso, Ignacio C. Mora, and Diego Di Leonforte, who worked in close collaboration with WBD’s in-house legal team led by Ezequiel Paz, Carolina Lambrechts, and Mariana Oteiza, to structure and negotiate the terms of the agreement.
