During the 126th INTA Annual meeting held in Atlanta, Georgia, on May 1-5, Iris V Quadrio as Chair of INTA’s Examination Guidelines Subcommittee together with other subcommittee members presented the INTA Guidelines for Trademark Examination to representatives of 14 different national trademark offices, including Norway, Singapore, UK, Ireland, Denmark, Lithuania, Latvia, Germany, USA, Sweden, India, Romania, Spain and the Office for the Harmonization in the Internal Market of the European Union. The presentation covered non-traditional marks as well as issues relative to trademark distinctiveness and opposition procedures.
