The new Civil and Commercial Code will come into effect on August 1, 2015

On December 16, 2014, the Argentine Congress passed Law No. 27,077 published in the Official Gazette on December 19, 2014. Said Law substitutes section 7 of Law No. 26,994, and therefore brings earlier to August 1, 2015 instead of January 1, 2016 the date in which the new Civil and Commercial Code will come into effect. The new Civil and Commercial Code introduces significant changes to the Argentine legal system, some of which were briefly outlined and detailed in Marval News # 144, dated October 31, 2014.
