LES Argentina Workshop

On March 9, 2015, Marval, O’Farrell & Mairal sponsored a workshop organized by LES Argentine Chapter entitled: “Update on issues related to the process of registration of technology transfer contracts with the INPI”. The event took place at the firm’s offices in the city of Buenos Aires. Arnaud Michel, President of the Licensing Executives Society International (LESI), outlined LESI’s main aims and activities, shared his 30-year experience as a LESI member and invited the attendees to join the Society. Later on, Verónica Canese moderated the breakfast session during which Dr. Aldo Petrone, Director of the Argentine Technology Transfer Office, and Rosana Bardi, Legal Adviser of the Technology Transfer Office, discussed various practical issues related to the registration proceedings of tech transfer and license agreements and informed on the new registration alternatives opened up by Resolution 117/2014. More than 40 attendees then engaged in a lively and interesting Q&A discussion.
