We advised in the merger between Aerolíneas Argentinas and Austral Líneas Aéreas-Cielos del Sur

Marval O'Farrell Mairal advised Aerolíneas Argentinas S.A. in its merger with Austral Líneas Aéreas-Cielos del Sur S.A. —in which Aerolíneas Argentinas was the absorbing company and Austral the absorbed company. The reorganization involved the merger of Argentina’s two oldest flag airlines and marked the culmination of a highly complex corporate, regulatory, tax, contractual and labor process.

The merger, registered with the Public Registry of the City of Buenos Aires on December 29, 2020, will allow the merged company to more efficiently face the challenges posed by the greatest crisis in the history of the aeronautical industry.
