1er Encuentro Nacional sobre Violencia de Género Económica y Patrimonial

On October 22, 2018, the 1er Encuentro Nacional sobre Violencia de Género Económica y Patrimonial and the 26º Encuentro de Mujeres Abogadas (EMA) were held at the National Production and Labour Ministry. The encounter was organized by the Ministry’s Centro de Desarrollo Económico de la Mujer (CEDEM), with Marval, O'Farrell & Mairal and the other members of the Vance Center for International Justice’s Argentine Chapter of the Women in the Profession (WIP) Program: the lawfirms Beccar Varela; Kahale Abogados; Mitrani, Caballero & Ruiz Moreno Abogados; and Zang, Bergel & Viñes Abogados. The speakers of the event were Dr. Carlos Rosenkrantz and Dr. Elena Highton de Nolasco, president and vice-president of the Argentine Supreme Court; Mariano Mayer, secretary of the Entrepreneurs and PyMEs of the National Production Ministry; Helena Estrada, director of CEDEM; and Natalia Gherardi, executive director of the de Equipo Latinoamericano de Justicia y Género (ELA). Antonia Stolper, on behalf of the R. Cyrus Vance Center for International Justice and Carolina Zang, representing the WIP Argentina Chapter, were also present.
