“Vale Will Invest AR$ 25,500 Million to Exploit Potassium,” published in Buenos Aires Economico (City of Buenos Aires) on 12/06/2011

Vale announced that it will make a global investment of AR$ 25,500 million (approximately USD 5.907 million) in the Department of Malargüe, in the Province of Mendoza. During the 30 months of construction, 12,000 new direct and indirect jobs will be created. An 80-year production lifespan was forecasted. Argentina would thereby become the World’s third greatest potassium exporter and its fifth major producer.
