Highest State Court (Province of Neuquen), 02/13/2012, “Arias Evita Nelida Beatriz et al. v. Province of Neuquen / Acción de Amparo” (File No. 3543/11)

The plaintiffs filed a motion for amparo (accelerated proceedings) to suspend the public hearing summoned by the provincial authorities within the Potasio Rio Colorado project, to be held in Rincon de los Sauces, Province of Neuquen. The Court declared it has no jurisdiction over the case as, according to Law No. 1981, it should be decided by the Lower Courts of the place where the action takes place or where it has or may have effect. Thus, the Court sends the file to the Lower Court on Civil Matters of Rincon de los Sauces.
