Triton Argentina –local subsidiary of Canadian Pan American Silver- reported a 25% increase in mineral processing (gold and silver) at the Manantial Espejo deposit, located 50 kilometers from Gobernador Gregores, in Santa Cruz. Currently, the above mentioned deposit processes 2,000 tons of mineralized resources daily, with average grades of 192 grams of silver and 1.5 grams of gold per ton. However, Triton expects to increase this production to 2,500 tons per day by the year 2012 thereby increasing the open pit and underground exploitation, which has a 96 per cent recuperation process.
