Important information was gathered from the Province of San Juan: 38% of the Province's production is exported, putting San Juan second in Argentina's ranking. It is the first time the Province has occupied this position. The Province of Santa Fe occupies the first place with soya exportation and the mechanical industry. In 2003, 2004 and 2005, San Juan was in the 17th place, exporting 15% of its total production.
The biggest jump in the ranking was made in 2006, when the industrial activity of Veladero mine boosted the Province's growth and significantly modifying the provincial economy.
