Extension of the Prohibition on Dismissals and Suspensions

On May 19, 2020, Executive Decree No. 487/2020 (the "Decree") was published in the Official Gazette, ordering the extension of the prohibition to dismiss without just cause, and to dismiss and suspend employees due to lack of or decrease in work and force majeure, for a period of 60 days, starting on June 1, 2020. Dismissals in violation of this rule are void.

The Decree exempts from the prohibition suspensions made under the terms of Section 223 bis of the Labor Contract Law.
