A group of entrepreneurs is advancing in San Juan to establish the possibility of generating geothermal energy, produced with water vapor from subterranean tables, in the area. The Group is a Joint Venture formed by Energía Provincial Sociedad de Estado (EPSE), Geotermía Andina and Barrick. It operates at 4,000 meters high in the zone of Los Despoblados.
