Anti-Money-laundering law - suspension of procedural terms

By Resolution No. 249/2012 the Financial Information Unit ("FIU") resolved to unify the procedural terms of the administrative and judicial procedures. In this respect, it established the suspension of the administrative procedural terms of the administrative procedures before the UIF during the month of January and during the judicial holidays of July of each year, in order to avoid to undermine the right of defense of the defendants.

Furthermore, Resolution No. 249/2012 established that it will enter into force after its publication in the Official Gazette (i.e. after December 21, 2012).
