“Argentina Establishes itself as the Fourth-Largest Gold Producer in the Region,” published in El Inversor Energetico & Minero (City of Buenos Aires) on 01/02/2012

Throughout 2011, Argentina managed to establish itself as the fourth-largest gold producer in Latin America, a region in which the production rose this year [2011] over 10%. According to Metals Economics Group (MEG), the country was only surpassed by Peru, Mexico and Brazil, in that order, and remained above Chile.
