We are pleased to inform that, as of February 1st, 2011, Dr. Luis E. Lucero has joined our Firm as a partner. Dr. Lucero is a lawyer graduated from the University of Buenos Aires. In his 17 years of experience with the mining industry, Dr. Lucero has worked in the construction, infrastructure development and financing of major mining projects (including 3 of the largest currently in operations in Argentina), as well as in numerous regulatory matters core to the industry. As local counsel he has participated in capital markets transactions (including a sucessful IPO in the London Stock Exchange); in various M&A and asset-related transactions (including some of the largest ever done in the country); as well as assisted in numerous exploration and joint-venture agreements, both in the private and public sectors. In 2010, Dr. Lucero was appointed Honorary Lecturer by the University of Dundee (UK), where he conducted work-shops on project finance issues; he has also taught graduate and post-graduate courses at a number of local universities.
