Province of Rio Negro Law No. 4518, enacted by the House of Representatives of the Province of Rio Negro on 03/25/2010 (published in the Official Gazette on 05/13/2010)
Establishes Environmental Prosecutors' Offices under the Provincial Public Sector, with: (a) jurisdiction on environmental matters; (b) authority to request reports, issue administrative filings or requests with national, provincial or municipal offices in order to protect the environment; and (c) capacity to take claims, among others.
Law No. 4531, enacted by the House of Representatives of the Province of Rio Negro on 04/29/2010 (published in the Official Gazette on 05/20/2010)
Creates the Corporate and Environmental Responsibility Program in the Province of Rio Negro, with the purpose of promoting an adequate corporate and environmental conduct in the Province of Rio Negro. The program set forth by this law is applicable to all companies domiciled within the jurisdiction of the territory of the Province of Rio Negro, which have been carrying out their main activity within said province for at least one (1) year.
